Our Staff Physicians are Board Certified…
All physicians are Fellowship Trained and Board Certified Gastroenterologists. What does this mean? To become board certified our physicians had to complete undergraduate work, four years of medical school, and five years of post-graduate study. The post-graduate study included internships and residency programs. After the schooling, they had to pass an exam to become certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. They then had to complete a fellowship program practicing as gastroenterologists and pass an exam to become certified in Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
All of our physicians have privileges at Memorial Hospital, South Bend; St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend and Michiana Endoscopy Center.
What to Expect During Your Visit
Although no two patients are the same, each patient's care will include some of the same basic steps: consultation, examination, tests and treatment.
Tests or procedures – such as x-rays, blood work, or diagnostic procedures, such as a Colonoscopy or an Endoscopy – appropriate to your symptoms will be ordered. Your physician will help you understand the nature of your disorder, your options for the most effective treatment and the appropriate course of treatment especially for you.
